On May 24, 2014 Vera Van Wagner (pictured above) will turn 110 years old, making her Dutchess's eldest resident and the 71st eldest person in the entire world. Once she is verified, she'll be the county's first Supercentenarian--a person who is 110 or older. Celebrate her birthday on May 19, along with honoring 17 other Dutchess residents over the age of 100 from Millerton to Beacon, including a 105-year-old who sang for King George and Queen Elizabeth, and three couples who have been married for over 70 years!

The "Celebration of Aging" takes place:
Monday, May 19, 2014 from 12:00 – 1:30 PM
at Villa Borghese, 70 Widmer Road, Wappingers Falls
