Accept your fate: Holiday hell is here once again. But take heart, because aside from all the door-busting mall carnage and faux-good tidings it means the return of E Street Band percussionist Everett Bradley’s funk-infested Holidelic extravaganza, this time to Daryl’s House, the new area venue opened by Daryl Hall, another of Bradley’s bosses, on December 14.

In addition to Hall & Oates and Bruce Springsteen, Bradley has worked with Carly Simon, Quincy Jones, Bobby McFerrin, David Bowie, and Jon Bon Jovi. For the annual revue he reprises his Papadelic character (who owes quite a bit to P-Funk-era George Clinton). “We’re calling this year’s show ‘Sugar Daddy’ because our sound is holideliciously sweet enough to keep the confectionary funk flowing in your ear hole,” says Bradley, who is also the musical director and band leader of NBC’s “The Meredith Vieira Show.” “Papadelic is owning his title of the ghetto fabulous father of fa-la-la funk and is unabashedly pimping some new grooves, new threads, and ear candy for all walks of life that have a sweet tooth...”

For a taste of that sugary seasonal sweetness, try this nutty video for the single “New York Sleigh Ride”:

Everett Bradley’s Holidelic “Sugar Daddy” show will visit Daryl’s House Restaurant and Club in Pawling, New York, on December 14 at 8pm. Tickets are $30. For more information, call (845) 289-0185 or visit
