Alt-rock royalty is in the house in Kingston this month—and for free!

R. Ring, a new-ish band that features Kelley Deal of the Breeders and Mike Montgomery of Ampline, will kick it live on July 30 at BSP Lounge as part of the venue’s ongoing Free Thursdays series. The group is touring this summer in support of two new split 7”s with the Detroit-based post-punk band Protomarty. One of them features the Protomartyr track “Blues Festival,” on which Deal contributes guest vocals.

Watch R. Ring play “Fall Out and Fire” in this live video:

R. Ring will perform with special guest Pecas at BSP Lounge in Kingston, New York, on July 30 at 8pm. The show is free and open to those 18 and older. For more information, call (845) 481-5158 or visit http://bspkingston.com/.
