Occasionally in the arts world there occurs the confusing instance of several individuals having the same name (I share a moniker with the photographer Peter Aaron, who, to make things even more befuddling, lives in the same town as I do). And then there’s the case of clarinet virtuoso Paul Green, who should not be confused with the founder of Woodstock’s Paul Green Rock Academy. The former Paul Green will perform at the Lee Meeting House in Lee, Massachusetts, on April 30.

Clarinetist Green performed with Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic at the age of 13 in 1962. He’s coming to the area in celebration of International Jazz Day and the release of his third album, Music Coming Together, which fuses jazz and klezmer styles.

Dig Green and his trio as they swing Benny Goodman’s “Slipped Disc”:

Paul Green and his sextet will perform at the Lee Meeting House in Lee, Massachusetts, on April 30 at 7:30pm. A reception with the band will follow. Tickets are $20. For more information, call (413) 243-0852 or visit
