Shakespeare Festival's Friday Night Prologues

On Friday, July 15 the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival at Boscobel offers a free prologue before a showing of performance of “As You Like It.” There will be an engaging pre-show talk and combat demonstration by acting company member Shawn Fagan and conservatory company member Christopher Cruz.

The pre-show offers an exclusive, behind the scenes look into HVSF’s 30th anniversary season. Free interactive prologues will be offered on Fridays at 6PM throughout the festival season. The Friday night shows start at in the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival tent at 7:30PM. Feel free to bring a picnic and your questions to the lawn in front of the historical Boscobel House. Prologues will be presented rain or shine.

Pick up free pre-show tickets at the box office.

Every prologue is distinctive and features different HVSF troop members each night before performances of "Macbeth," "As You Like It" and "Measure for Measure" through Friday, August 26.

Friday, August 5—All-female cast of "Macbeth"
Friday, August 12—"Macbeth"
Friday, August 19—"As You Like It"
Friday, August 26—"Macbeth"
