From peaceful melodies that call one to reflection of love, God, and hope - to outright country flavor as the male vocals begin, "Salamander Crossing" can appease even the most tumultuous mind.

Their third album, recently released Bottleneck Dreams, is acoustic and relaxing. Previous albums include Salamander Crossing (their 1995 debut), and Passion Train (1996). To their credit, the latter album spent eleven weeks on Gavin Americana and climbed to a peak position of # 9.

Rani Arbo (fiddle) alternates lead vocals with male singers Andrew Kinsey (who also plays bass) and Jeff Kelliher (guitar). While he doesn't sing, Dave Dick plays banjo perfectly in tune with the other members of the band and does not need accompaniment on his solo The Last Iron Horse (reminiscent of The Indigo Girls). Alternating acoustic rhythms, clean, accurate, and pleasing- this country entourage is destined for stardom.

One may be enticed to sleep as the lullabies sing privately from your CD player. Mesmerizing rhythms make one forget all else and invite attention. Country bluegrass emerges as the band plays in the Ol' Grand Op'ry style and have all four members around one microphone belting out Ain't Gonna Work Tomorrow.

One review by New Country calls praise for the band and their newest album. They boast, "If only lifešs waking hours were as gentle and lucid as these bottleneck dreams."
