ON THE COVER

Does the Hegelian Dialectic Make a Better Seahorse? Antithesis, R. Wayne Parsons, B&W print, 16” x 20”
R. Wayne Parson’s work will be appearing as part of the national juried “Photowork 2K” exhibit at the Barrett Art Center, 55 Noxon St., Poughkeepsie, through April 22. Parsons holds a Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University and makes his living as a public opinion analyst. A skilled amateur, Parsons has been taking photographs since 1983, when he enrolled in classes at the International Center of Photography in NYC. He has shown at galleries across the country and internationally since 1987. The cover image is part of a three-photograph interpretation of the dialectical philosophy of German thinker G. W. F. Hegel (1770-1831). For more information on the “Photowork 2K” show, call 471-2550.
