Rumi writes: “Let the sky open under your feet. Take the cotton out of your ears, the cotton of consolations, so you can hear the sphere-music. Push the hair out of your eyes. Blow the phlegm from your nose, and from your brain. Let the wind breeze through. Accept your new good luck.” Peace, Franci

Winter

I crave the comfort of winter
pull my knees up to my chest
scratch the itch of my wool socks
and wait for the kettle to sing

Goodbye, my love.
You are made of too much stardust
For us to be together in this day to day.
But I will see you in the dream field.
There we shall meet.
And our souls will intertwine once again.

as I try
to penetrate

the inscrutable
diamond of

the wind dis-

What price hope?

Fear in the eyes.

Can’t bear it.

Too much pain
seems to drain
the stardust
from my soul.

Gotta see love.

Gotta do love.

Period.
