    When children are sick and hospitalized, it can be a very scary and unfamiliar experience . The Pediatric Unit of VBMC do every thing they can to make the children there feel safe, and keep their spirits up as they heal. The monies raised from the auction will go directly to the Pediatric Unit for the express purpose of contributing to a sick child's comfort and well being. The result being a child whose focused on healing not fear.

    Garden Gables Inn, a historic 17-room property in Lenox (the bucolic Berkshire region of western MA), is proud to welcome Chef Michael Garnero to the Inn on Saturday, April 24th for a one-day interactive cooking demonstration. Attendees will have hands-on experience working with Chef Garnero from 2:00PM-5:00 PM to help prepare food to be served later that evening. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including those from nearby Hilltop Orchards farm, will be used to create delicious hors d’oeuvres and a gourmet four-course dinner.

    At a meeting of parents for my five-year-old’s kindergarten class, I asked his teacher what she saw about the specific group of children. “There are nine children and seven of them are boys,” she said. “In their play they are ever wielding swords and guns, and playing at piracy and battle. I am still trying to understand how to help them channel what is clearly something natural and real.”

    "CULTURAL STIMULUS: Arts & Culture as Economic and Community Driver" will explore the ways that three communities stimulate and support cultural activities. The heads of three development groups in Beacon and Kingston, NY, and Pittsfield, MA, will share their perspectives at BEAHIVE’s Kingston location (314 Wall St) on Monday, April 19, 5:30–7:30 PM.

    A solo exhibition of paintings by Gabe Brown, “Collect The Sun,” will be exhibited at the Gallery at R&F Handmade Paints in Kingston. The show will run from April 3 through May 22. An opening reception for the artist and a gallery talk will take place Saturday, April 3 from 5pm to 7pm.
