Cuba: Its Music & History

Musicologist and Tivoli resident Ken McCarthy recently spent 10 days in Cuba touring the island with a group of musicians, academics and music producers. In this talk, he'll share what he saw and heard, describe the practical realitiesof visiting Cuba today, and reveal the enormous-and often hidden-impact Cuban music has had on American music and culture.
