John Cage's 4'33"

For the consecutive 5th year, WAAM will host a short program featuring John Cage’s “ 4’33” “, the so-called and mistakenly-monikered “silent piece”. This year, it will be performed by John Dubberstein and his Clear Light Ensemble (CLE), followed by a short talk/Q&A with Cage biographer Kay Larson. The program will conclude with the CLE performing several pieces of their own composition. Produced by local resident Norm Magnusson, the concert/talk will take place on the 63rd anniversary of 4’33” ’s world premier, which happened on August 29, 1952 in Woodstock, NY, as part of a program produced by the WAAM.
