Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary will host a July Jamboree this Saturday, July 7, from 11am-5pm. The Sanctuary, home to over 200 rescued animals, was founded by Jenny Brown and Doug Abel in 2004 with the mission to provide shelter for animals who have suffered abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Brown's journey into a life dedicated to helping animals is documented in her recently published book The Lucky Ones: My Passionate Fight for Farm Animals. The Jamboree will offer a veg-e-que menu featuring local vegan products like Field Roast sausage, Woodstock's Aba's falafel, and Organic Nectar's “ice cream,” storytelling, face painting, and yoga for kids, and live music by Uncle Rock, Joy Askew, and Noel Fletcher. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for Sanctuary members and toddlers 3 and under. All proceeds go to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Woodstocksanctuary.org
