"Lobby Hero" at Tangent Theatre

The writer behind You Can Count on Me, Gangs of New York, and "This Is Our Youth" has his latest work performed by Tangent Theatre Company, a New York City-turned-Hudson Valley troupe, in Tivoli. "Lobby Hero" stars four seemingly minor characters grappling with major issues: two cops, a security guard, and his boss. As the New York Times describe it, the play is a "a comedy, a romance and a play of ideas rolled into one." The actors all hail from the Big Apple: Jacob Horstmeier, Kelsey Landon, Cameron Jamarr Davis, and Michael Rhodes, who doubles as Tangent's creative director. The production runs from April 2 through April 26. See website for times. (845) 230-7020;
