An international institute and festival, PianoSummer draws people passionate about piano together to learn, respect, and revel in the multidimensional qualities of the art form under the guidance of artistic director and acclaimed classical pianist Vladimir Feltsman. Students join a diverse group of prestigious musicians and teachers, such as Susan Starr and Alexander Korsantia, to cultivate their musical identities in a professional setting. Private lessons with instructors, master classes, lectures and demonstrations provide an immersive experience. The public is welcome to the Faculty Gala, the Hung-Kuan Chen Recital, the Vladimir Ovchinnikov Recital, and the Symphony Gala with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. All PianoSummer events take place in the Julien J. Studley Theatre at SUNY New Paltz from July 11 to July 31.
