The Poné Ensemble for New Music will present “Daydreams in the Clouds,” featuring a new work, Miniatures, for horn and bassoon by upcoming composer, Josh Groffman, paired with the Phantasy Quartet for Oboe and String Trio by Benjamin Britten that Groffman cites as inspiration for his piece. The program will also include music by Dennis Bathory-Kitz of Vermont, often referred to as “the unconventional composer,” Lowell Liebermann, and Peter Schickele, known for his long-running radio series, "Schickele Mix," and his comedy persona, PDQ Bach. A reception will follow the performance.
