TheaterSounds Hudson Valley Playreading Series will give a reading of Christian O’Reilly’s The Good Father. Jane and Tim are two lonely strangers who meet at a New Year’s Eve party, where she drunkenly asks, “What are you doing for sex tonight?” Peppered with sharp dialog and witty one-liners, the script hovers between tragedy and comedy as it reveals the chasm that divides the pair as their unlikely relationship develops. Leigh Adel-Arnold and Jed Peterson bring their roles to searing life with Nicola Sheara’s direction.
