Bearsville artist Roswita Szyszka was born in Chicago and graduated from the American Academy of Art in 1976 before moving to the Hudson Valley and studying under Nick Buhalis in the late 1980's. Her fractured painting style has been called "post-cubist" and is a melding of figural and abstract techniques. Szyszka's work has been shown in major cities across the US and Europe and is held extensively in private collections. She's represented by the Coffey Gallery in Kingston, NY.
