BEST OF THE MID-HUSON VALLEY

Welcome to our third Best Of issue. This year, we decided to focus on what you, the readers, thought was best, and laid off, for the most part, with detailing our own idiosyncratic preferences. Some of your choice surprised us, and we subsequently learned a great deal about hidden—and not so hidden—gems in our region.
This year, I’m proud to announce that we also have a Best Of essay winner, Katherine Heiser, whose essay
on cheap gas is printed on page ?? Congratulations Katherine.
I’d also like to thank all of the writers who contributed to this month’s edition, hunting down your picks and finding the stories behind the choices. Also, an extra-special note of thanks to our Art Director Molly Rubin who spent countless hours photographing the winners. And to all the readers who responded to our survey, thank you. You make it all possible, and this is your issue. Enjoy.
