Peruvian-born Alzamora has recently taken up residence in the Hudson Valley, residing in Cold Spring and working out of a studio in Beacon. The 26-year-old artist works in a variety of media and has become fascinated of late with wood sculpture.

A show of Alzamora’s drawings and sculpture, “Defragmentation”, will open at the Coulter Young Gallery in Peekskill on Saturday March 2, with a reception from 3-7 pm, and continues through April 7. For more information, call the gallery at (914) 788-0147.
