> On the Cover Artist and art historian Marcy B. Freedman is a teacher, curator, lecturer, who exhibits her works in a variety of media. Visitors to Freedmans Peekskill studioits open to the public by appointmentcan view abstract collages, appropriation art, and a great variety of photographic works. Additionally, Freedman has been collaborating with Gene Panczenko, an audio-visual specialist, to create short video pieces that are often characterized by humor and poignancy. Freedman and Panczenkos work was on display this past month, along with Freedmans Polaroid collage works, at the Barrett House Art Center in Poughkeepsie in a show entitled Very Short Stories. This spring, Freedman will present a lecture entitled Video as Art at the Croton Free Library in Croton-on-Hudson. Her talk will provide viewers with a chance to see clips from works by many video pioneers, as well as samples from her own work in this exciting new medium.
