Aries (March 20-April 19)
When you look back on this year in the context of the next few seasons, you will likely see that it provided the gestation period for the emergence of a much deeper dimension of who you are. We could say you are becoming a deeper person, but it’s more than that. Something you’ve long held inside yourself, a quality of existence free from the tight restrictions of identity and self-concept, has truly been released from you. As you know, you’re not living without a definition of who you are; but you now have a much more flexible definition, and an entirely different way of exchanging information with the world. In sum, you have learned how to receive, and how to give, even if you don’t yet know the name of what you are giving.

Taurus (April 19-May 20)
This has been a year of giving up, not in the sense of resigning yourself to futility, but rather of giving up what you don’t want, don’t need and what does not serve your greater interests. It’s also been a year of accepting that the problems of others are just that. Your life is a good deal more simple than that of the people around you, but there is the issue of intrusion that comes when the definitions of who is who and what is what are not clear. Clarity has its privileges, and you are likely to discover a substantial inheritance, perhaps financial, perhaps spiritual, perhaps in the form of deeper human bonding, that comes to you as a result of simply agreeing with yourself about who you are, and who you are not.

Gemini (May 20-June 21)
As a Gemini you are very, very good with words, but you’re learning to recognize their value as a source of power and not just pleasure. Part of that power is using words to help shape, clarify, and create your idea of who you are. That lets you tell other people who you are. Which, in turn, allows you more freedom to do what you want. And if you haven’t figured it out quite yet, it won’t be long before you understand that the ability to express your ideas, and to make your unique mark on the world, are some of the most important assets you now hold. Few people have any clue what to do with freedom. Few people dare to define their life in terms of a mission. But you have a clue, and you are willing to dare.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
What we believe sets the limits on what is possible. When something we don’t believe is possible happens, it usually gets chalked up as a miracle when all that’s occurred is that our own laws for what should be so have been violated by reality. This year has certainly provided you with a test of faith, and it’s provided you with a test of the power of faith. But more than anything, the miracles that have occurred have given quite a few of your old beliefs a chase around the block and over the fence. Try not to grieve having missed so much of what you were told was impossible. Rather, get a sense of what you still think is impossible, because the doorways to the miraculous are about to open a little wider yet.

Leo (July 22-August 23)
In living for your true objectives, it’s important to update your files every now and then. And it is necessary to assess and revise agreements, contracts, and shared financial arrangements to make sure that they are doing the job they were designed to do. Given the upcoming increases in speed and intensity of progress in the partnership angles of your chart, daily updates and an ongoing review of the big picture would serve you quite well. Those Leos who have come through the past few years (or longer) with even a shred of stability in their relationships can consider themselves both fortunate and ready for the next challenge. And we know how you love challenges. If you have one specialty, it is rising to the calling of life. Life is calling.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)
This year has taught you how not to take it personally, and with any luck, how not to make it personal. Thankfully you are not the cause of everything. The best you can hope for is to coexist with people who do what they must do rather than those who set their own necessities aside for your sake. Then an honest relationship is possible. This defies the prevailing rules of the world, wherein we often reinterpret people’s expressing their needs or changing their minds as something else (such as an attack). It only takes one person in any relationship or group situation to break the spiral of projection. If nothing else, you’ve lived through quite a few experiences that have taught you why it had better be you. For one thing, you possess the intelligence, the awareness, and an understanding that we have no other choice than to cooperate.

Libra (September 22-October 23)
The need for healing in certain aspects of your life should be more than apparent now. Healing is usually experienced as a process, not as an instant result. It’s also experienced in practice, not as an intellectual construction. Practice usually means an experience of relationship, but it can also be a relationship to your life patterns: what you eat, how you think, what you say or what you do. You have been through a lot this year, and much of it remains beyond your immediate comprehension. But more has changed behind the scenes than you may as yet realize. One particular change is the key to all the others, which is having come to an understanding that honesty with yourself is your only option—at any cost. Fortunately, it’s not that expensive.

Scorpio (October 23-November 22)
When we want to make changes—real changes—we have to remember what we value and let that guide our lives. You have been on an extraordinary search for what you value, though its seemed more often that you’ve been on a search for who you are. I promise that the real quest as you’ve experienced it has been to discover who you are not, to reduce your perception of yourself down to a clear essence. Events of December are poised to hand you a reward for your work, and reveal what was obscured by so many past perceptions, chaotic circumstances, and the collective neurosis of your family. Remember that the value and blessing of who you are can never change.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 22)
The world is often a disappointing place for you; people rarely live up to their potential, and society is usually pretty stupid, creating more problems than it solves, then pretending to ignore them. However, you have begun to find a new opening for true self-expression that (being true) allows you to be in harmony with both the unseen dimension of reality where your mind lives, and the one in which your feet have become rather firmly planted. Normally these two aspects of existence contradict one another; suddenly they have a lot in common. Remember: You are the meeting place between those different dimensions. You are the catalyst for change in the world around you. You are the inspiration for people to go beyond. Remember this year and you’ll see what I mean.

Capricorn (December 22-January 20)
Who needs morality when you’ve got ethics? Some ask what the difference is, and it’s simple. Morals are dead. Ethics are alive. Both address right and wrong action and the correct response to digression. You are beginning to see the utmost value of being in the moment when it comes to making such assessments, and not using the past as the exclusive meter by which to measure your current situation. Events this year have provided you with a series of confrontations, meetings, encounters, and exchanges that have caused you to size up what is the most important thing for you now. The chances are very good it’s something entirely different fromwhat was right for you last week or last year. And something entirely better than worked—or did not work—for your parents. You are not your parents.

Aquarius (January 20-February 19)
Is it possible to be someone as intense, on the edge, and at times outright strange as you are and still be reasonably compatible to coexist with others? It depends on your relationship with yourself. One thing that’s going to help you is that the pace of change and growth in your own life has begun to settle down. But the most important development is that you have finally come to a place of comfort with who you are. Self-acceptance doesn’t mean putting growth and adventure in dry-dock. It means accepting your process for what it is, and accepting that, in many respects, you must face the curiosities and skepticism of those who are not so bold and inventive as you are. Self-acceptance simply means the opinions of others have no bearing on your decisions, and more important, that you feel no guilt as a result.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Every sign gets pelted with a few of its own special defamatory astrological prejudices, and you’ve come a long way toward debunking the one that says Pisces has no idea who it really is or what it really wants. Dreamer does not mean drifter, and personally, I’ve never actually seen two fish that were connected and swimming in opposite directions. But the Yin-Yang makes a productive meditation. In these past four seasons you have immersed yourself in the sea of experience, which is the only way to be alive and live at the same time. You have explored your power to focus desire on a single object, goal, or necessity. And you have dared, in the world of people and projects, to be as innovative as you are in your dreams and desires. This has all been a very good practice run. Stay tuned.
