Cornwall-on-Hudson-based photographer James Ferrara
has been working in fine black-and-white photography for the past eight
years, following 20 years as an oil painter and 10 years as a film cameraman
and member of IA Local 600. Ferrara, who has taught at the Maine Photographic
Workshop, hand prints each black-and-white photograph he shoots in the
traditional darkroom fashion. This year he started his own photography
business, specializing in portraits, weddings, and photojournalism. Ferrara
