Environmental scientist Eric Slayton minored in photography as a Cornell University undergraduate, then put his camera away for 12 years in favor of field work. In 1999 he realized that combining his interests in science, natural history, and photography made for rich subject matter. Slayton's current work, "Glass Eyes," is a series of images of preserved animals at the Museum of Natural History. Slayton is currently an MFA student in art and environmental studies at Antioch New England Graduate School. "Glass Eyes" is being shown at Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson through December 5.
