Commercial photographer Charles Purvis has been working in New York City since 1985, but moved with his family to Accord in 1989. This multiple exposure of Elizabeth Taylor is an example of his interest in finding "the story within the story" by working with multiple cameras, sets, and exposures. Besides his corporate and commercial work Purvis has taught at both the Maine and Sante Fe Photography Workshops.

With a subject range from nature abstracts to children, he also shoots small format photographs to include in his handmade books, as well as creating large format (8" x 10" to 20" x 24") Polaroid images.
