July 16, 17. News of this formidable fest’s lineup arrived too late for last month’s summer round-up. Rocking three stages on the grounds of Greenfield Community College, the Green River Festival is an overload of rootsy riches: Emmylou Harris, Toots and the Maytals, Terry Adams and the new NRBQ, Wanda Jackson, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, the Old 97’s, Kermit Ruffins, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Thomas Mapfumo, Eilen Jewell, and too many more.
