On record at least, Phoenicia singer-songwriter Ambrosia Parsley has kept mum since the 2007 demise of Shivaree, the acclaimed band she fronted for 10 years. But this month she breaks her long silence with the appearance of an EP titled I Miss You. I do. The five-song release is intended as a teaser for Weeping Cherry, Parsley’s full-length solo debut due out later this year. And to celebrate the EP’s unveiling she’ll be performing at Rockwood Music Hall in Brooklyn on March 28.

Parsley appears on the soundtrack to the recently Oscar-nominated film Silver Linings Playbook. Shivaree is best known for the song “Goodnight Moon,” which was released in 1999 and appeared on the soundtracks of “Dawson’s Creek” and Kill Bill: Volume 2. The March 28 concert will also feature guest appearances by singer Holly Miranda and comic/activist Lizz Winstead.
