This coming weekend, on Saturday, October 26, an Autumn Art Tour kicks off in Woodstock. The art-crawl aspect of the event involves a peek into the studios of nine area artists: abstract painters Heather Hutchinson, Mark Kanter, Pat Horner, and Calvin Grimm; sculptor Lowell Miller; painter and sculptor Jenne Currie; fantasy painter Hatti Iles; painter Harvey Konigsberg; and potter Brinton Baker. Art crawlers will enjoy a light lunch as well as a drinks reception - then the party will continue with a fundraising dinner at The Red Onion followed by dessert and a live music performance by local singer-songwriter Rachel Loshak. On Sunday, art tour attendees can come along for a guided walk at the Comeau Property followed by brunch at Oriole 9 and a self-guided walking tour of Woodstock's art galleries.
A portion of the proceeds from this art lovers' extravaganza will benefit the Woodstock Public Library - in particular, the construction of its much needed additional space, the Library Annex.
For Art Tour tickets, contact Rachel Jackson of Ingenious Art Group Productions at 646-331-0908 or racheljackson.iag@gmail.com. While dinner is sold out, tickets are still available for the dessert-and-concert portion of the evening (with an array of sweets donated by Susan Gordon of Divine Desserts) at The Red Onion.
