Ani DiFranco, a woman of great ambition and power, carved her own path in the music industry with the inauguration of her label Righteous Babe Records. From there she has released over 20 albums and has helped numerous other artists get their feet on the solid ground of their choice; DiFranco does her own thing and encourages others to do the same. On tour there is no loss of intimacy throughout her eclectic songs, which often mingle acoustic guitar with elements of funk, jazz, rock, or anything else that strikes her fancy. Her humble smile finds you in the crowd and makes you feel right at home. Come see for yourself on Wednesday, June 17 at 8 p.m. at The Towne Crier Cafe in Beacon where she will be performing with special guest Peter Mulvey. Tickets are $55 in advance and $60 at the door.

To see if tickets are still available, call The Towne Crier after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10 at (845) 855-1300.
