Boston’s Tall Heights have been called “the Simon and Garfunkel for the Bon Iver generation.” On November 6, in support of their third release, Holding On, Holding Out (Independent), the duo bring their haunting harmonies to Club Helsinki.

Comprised of childhood friends Paul Wright (cello) and Tim Harrington (guitar), the pair grew up singing in the same local choirs and got their start as a live act by busking for tourists at their home city’s Faneuil Hall nearly half a decade ago. For the glowingly praised Holding On, Holding Out, the twosome embellishes their lush-but-stark acoustic sound with electronics and percussion.

Take in this performance of the new album’s “Spirit Cold”:

Tall Heights will perform at Club Helsinki in Hudson, New York, on November 6 at 9pm. Tickets are $15. For more information, call (518) 828-4800 or visit http://helsinkihudson.com/index.html.
