Here We Go Magic Reveals Hudson Video

Here We Go Magic
  • Here We Go Magic

I saw Here We Go Magic when they played in Hudson about a year ago and they killed me. All jittery, jangly guitars, cubist riffs, and precise, caffeinated rhythms reminiscent of the Feelies, but with interwoven psych synths and the distant vocals of leader Luke Temple. Temple himself lives in Hudson nowadays, and it’s there that the video for “Be Small,” the title track of the band’s fourth album, was shot.

The wistful, meandering “Be Small” is a bit of a departure from the HWGM sound as described above. I hear a bit of Young Americans—era Bowie in there, but maybe that’s just me. Check it out and see what you think:

Be Small is out now on Secretly Canadian Records. For more information, visit http://herewegomagicband.tumblr.com/.
