Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is offering scholarships for programs aimed at assisting veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and helping them reintegrate after the effects of war. The retreat center will offer three workshops during the spring and summer. The first retreat, “Coming Home: A Retreat for Veterans of Iraq & Afghanistan,” takes place this weekend (May 5-8) and is no longer accepting applications. Scholarships are available to cover all costs except $75 of the tuition, room, and board.

“Healing From Military Trauma: A Warrior Renew Program” is a retreat offered to military women and women veterans led by Lori S. Katz, PhD. The program intends to hold a safe space for women to explore and release traumatic stress, as well as the impact of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The retreat will run from Sunday, June 19 through Friday, June 24. The scholarship deadline is Wednesday, June 1.

“Practices for Comfort & Ease: Veterans Yoga Retreat,” led by Annie Okerlin, RYT, and Nicholas Caris, RYT, is for men only. Participants will explore their body, mind, and spirit through movement and the breath and learn ways to calm the body, quiet the mind, and facilitate healing. The program takes place from Sunday, July 31 through Friday, August 5. The scholarship deadline is Monday, June 20. eOmega.org. 800-944-1001.
