The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary sponsors events like bingo, pasta nights, and pancake breakfasts so they can raise money for equipment, training sessions, and ambulance and firetruck supplies for the Beekman Fire Company. And on September 18th, they’re hosting their Second Annual Family Day, when they’ll welcome hundreds of people at the fire station in Poughquag for a free day of fun.

Along with over sixty craft and sales vendors, and food trucks to satisfy everyone, there are also some pretty neat children’s activities planned. The tumble bus is a bouncy house set up inside a school bus. The "Smoke House" will teach kids fire safety skills.  There will be an ambulance and firetrucks for kids to climb and explore, and face painting.  New this year is a penny-style penny social raffle with almost three hundred donated gift certificates from the community.

The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary offers relief and assistance to fire fighters at the scene of fires, drills, and other functions by supplying water and food. Funds raised at the Family Day will be used to support the Beekman Fire Company.

The Second Annual Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary’s Family Day at 316 Beekman Poughquag Road in Poughquag: Saturday, September 18th; 10a-4p; free! Visit their Facebook page for more info.
