Creative Music Studio Hosts Concerts in Big Indian

Founded in Woodstock in 1971 by Karl Berger, Ingrid Sertso, and Ornette Coleman, the Creative Music Studio has been a pivotal incubator of adventurous jazz-world music fusion for more than 45 years. For the most recent three of those years, the education and performance organization has been hosting intensive performance workshop programs and concerts at Full Moon Resort, where this week it presents a series of live events featuring some of the foremost names in the creative, improvised “worldjazz” genre.

Check out these lineups:

Tonight, Tuesday, September 20: Pauline Oliveros (accordion), Fabian Almazan (piano), Steven Bernstein (trumpet), Iva Bittova (violin/vocal), Karl Berger (piano), Ingrid Sertso (vocals), Ken Filiano (bass), Angelica Sanchez (piano), Omar Tamez (guitar), and Joe Hertenstein (drums).

Wednesday, September 21: Fabian Almazan (piano), Steven Bernstein (trumpet), Karl Berger (piano), Ingrid Sertso (vocals), Ken Filiano (bass), (drums), Angelica Sanchez (piano), Omar Tamez (guitar), and Joe Hertenstein (drums).

Thursday, September 22: Fabian Almazan (piano), Steven Bernstein (trumpet), Karl Berger (piano), Ingrid Sertso (vocals), Ken Filiano (bass), (drums), Angelica Sanchez (piano), Omar Tamez (guitar), and Joe Hertenstein (drums).
