This all-day family-friendly celebration of hands-on learning merges brainstorming with creation, and is coming to the Poughkeepsie Day School Campus November 12.

More than 65 “Makers” will be on-site, offering a chance for kids and adults alike to dabble in creative building. Educational workshops and installations cover Math, Science, Art, Drama, History, and more in a fun-filled environment.

Whether its 3d printing, soldering, tinkering, acting, conserving, building, or crafting, guests can select their favorite subject to explore through demonstrations and activities.

Last year’s Maker Faire featured a Hudson Valley Improv troupe workshop, a foam sculpture, drone obstacle course, music played on food (check out a video below), and facial art using repurposed items.

Local food, music, and a series of vendors will also be at the event.

Tickets are $10.50 for adults, $8 for youth if purchased in advance, and $12 at the door. Children under 2 are free.
