FURNITURE WITH SOUL : The Hudson Valley Furniture Makers exhibition and sale is this weekend | Visual Art | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine

The Hudson Valley Furniture Makers, some of our regions most talented studio furniture makers, present their fall Exhibition and Sale at High Meadow School in Stone Ridge, just off of Route 209. Join them for an opening reception Friday 6-9pm and shop the show Saturday & Sunday 10am to 6pm, and Monday 10am to 4p.m.

Andrew Hunter, John Cox, Jeff Johnson, Johnny Poux, Josh Finn, Michael Puryear, Nicholas Simile, and Rob Hare will be at the exhibition all weekend to talk about their original designs and processes. Uninterested in mass-production their furniture is made one piece at a time in pursuit of excellence and innovation of design. This is truly furniture with soul, made by men with integrity.

Studio furniture speaks in many ways. The warmth and allure of handcrafted furniture is irresistible. It is through colors, textures, forms, functions, images, and ideas that great furniture enriches daily life. Well-designed furniture made from quality materials, contributes so much to an interior. It offers both ease and order in function and contributes energy and depth to the overall experience of a space. Evolving from traditions cultivated through centuries of craftsmanship, these local furniture makers offer their clients something very special. For a sneak preview visit www.hvfurnituremakers.com

The Hudson Valley Furniture Makers group was founded in 2008 to showcase designer-makers of custom furniture in our region. Promotion for this exhibition was sponsored in part by UlsterCountyAlive.com.
