Presented by the Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation and arranged by locally born curator Aaron Levi Garvey, the Hudson Eye is focused on celebrating the arts community in Hudson while helping to stimulate creativity and connectivity.
The festival’s organizers partner with local venues and hold daily “Hot Topics” talks, which are free and open to the public and hosted by guest speakers whose professional affiliations represent the diversity of Hudson; this year’s “Hot Topics” will take place at 1pm each day and have been curated by OutHudson’s executive director, Osun Zotique. Nightly festival events will take place at various venues nightly at 7pm.
“In dialogue with our local artists and partners,” says the Hudson Eye’s mission statement, “we have sustainably catalyzed an artist-driven program which will be mounted in Hudson annually to build and strengthen our communities through contemporary performance and art celebrating artists that…have a longstanding commitment to the City of Hudson while also recognizing the next generation of artists who have chosen to call Hudson their home.”
