Kingston O+ Festival Announces Lineup | Music | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
Kingston’s returning O+ Festival just announced the first wave of musical bookings for its 2022 lineup, which will perform at various spaces around the Ulster County seat from October 7-9.

Among this year’s bands and solo acts are Kimbra, Mirah, Bitch, Tsunami Bomb, Morgan O’Kane, Chinua Hawk Music, Adult Mom, Joey Eppard, Miles Francis, Roxiny, Sam Kogon, Denitia, and many more. In sum, over 40 bands will play at the festival this year. A full schedule of performers will be announced in the weeks to come.

Founded in 2010 in Kingston by a small group of artists-activists, doctors, and a dentist and fueled in part by attendee donations, O+ is now a national nonprofit working in cities around the country. The festival provides participating artists and musicians with free and discounted health and wellness services via volunteer-staffed pop-up clinics in exchange their artistic contributions to the festival programming. Past headline acts include Spiritualized, Amanda Palmer, Evan Dando, and many others. In addition to presenting live bands and solo musicians and offering their participating players the above types of care, the event does the same for participating visual artists and other performers. Since launching in Kingston 12 years ago, the O+ model has been replicated and presented in San Francisco, Chicago, Poughkeepsie, and other cities.

The Kingston 2022 O+ Festival will take place at various venues in Kingston from October 7-9. See the O+ website for a full lineup, venues, and other information.
