Litchfield Jazz Festival Set to Kick Off | Music | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
Local lovers of fine jazz will likely know of the Litchfield Jazz Festival, which has been bringing the music to Hudson Valley-adjacent Western Connecticut since 1996. The event will make its return to Washington, Connecticut, July 29-31, and will once again present a plethora of top-tier jazz artists.

Booked to appear at the three-day festival this year are Samara Joy; Anton Kot and the Litchfield Jazz Camp Faculty Quartet with Don Braden, Avery Sharpe, Julian Shore, and Jean Caze; the Gregoire Maret Trio; the Mark Whitfield Band with Davis Whitfield, Mark Lewandowski, and Charles Goold; and Ken Peplowski with Ehud Asherie, Peter Washington, and Willie Jones III.

The festival will begin, as per tradition, with a fully catered opening gala. This year’s gala will take place on July 29 from 5:45pm to 7pm, just a few steps away from the main stage, where performances will begin at 7pm. (See website for details.)

The 2022 Litchfield Jazz Festival will take place at the Thomas Perakos Performing Arts Center at The Frederick Gunn School in Washington, Connecticut, July 29-31. Ticket prices vary; see website for details and a full schedule of events and performances.
