Experience the breadth of the winery’s offerings (which were just recognized for the second year by the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards) during your stay with a visit to the winery’s tasting bar for a five-variety wine flight ($15).

Make sure to anchor your tasting with a few of City Winery’s renowned varieties, such the “NYC Cab” and “Spring Street Pinot Noir” alongside a few seasonally rotating, palate-expanding options such as the bright, minerally Pinot Blanc or a wine from its “Au Naturel” list, which are free of additional sulfites. Noshing on one of the curated cheese boards during the tasting is a pitch-perfect way to start your evening before heading over to the on-site restaurant for dinner.

Once the original entrance to the mill, the Barrel Room restaurant has seatings for lunch, brunch, or dinner indoors or on one of the two outdoor patios complete with breathtaking views of the property.

The menu borrows from Italian, French, Spanish, and Middle Eastern cuisines, but is regionally influenced and locally sourced. Favorites like the mushroom and goat cheese risotto balls ($15) and duck tacos ($19) as well as locally driven specialties such as the Hudson Valley Fisheries steelhead trout ($33) and local Feather Hood Ranch zabuton steak ($34) are all made for pairing with City Winery’s extensive wine list.

Enjoy a Concert in the Vineyard

Make sure you grab tickets to Concerts in the Vineyard, the venue’s outdoor summer concert series running through September. Heading to the intimate stage this season are acts from music genres of all kinds, including folk singer-songwriter Trevor Hall, bluegrass-influenced band Railroad Earth, and indie music darlings, JohnnySwim. Doors open at 12:30pm and shows start at 2pm so you can pick out a spot on the lawn to let the good vibes wash over you all afternoon.

With so much on offer at City Winery to enjoy every day of the week, it’s no wonder the venue has already become a favorite destination for experiencing everything the Hudson Valley has to offer, all in one gorgeous location.
