Neil Gaiman
On April 15, award-winning, best-selling author and Bard College professor Neil Gaiman will kick off a series of five lectures at the college's Fisher Center about the art of writing and his experience with the art form.

Perhaps best known for his series of Sandman comic books, the British-born Gaiman is also the creator of numerous books, graphic novels, short stories and film scripts, including Norse Mythology, Neverwhere, Coraline, The Graveyard Book, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and The View from the Cheap Seats. His critically acclaimed television works include the Emmy-nominated series “American Gods,” based on his 2001 novel of the same name; the miniseries adaptation of Good Omens, based on the book he coauthored with Sir Terry Pratchett; and Netflix’s TV adaptation of his Sandman comic book series. Gaiman has received the Newbery, Carnegie, Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, and Will Eisner awards for his work.

“Neil Gaiman: The Bard Lectures” series will begin on April 15 at 7pm at the Fisher Center of the Bard College campus in Annandale-on-Hudson. The following dates in the series are April 16 at 5pm, October 12 at 7pm, October 13 at 7pm, and October 14 at 7pm. Tickets start at $25 for each in-person lecture or $20 for each livestream.
