New Year’s Eve at Riedlbauer’s Resort

Thinking about making it a legit Catskills-retro New Year’s Eve this time around? If so, you may want to consider the all-inclusive NYE dinner party being offered at the old-school Riedlbauer’s Resort for the big night on December 31.

A frozen-in-time throwback to the German-American family-run weekend resorts that dotted Greene County in the early and mid-20th century, Riedlbauer’s features authentic Teutonic atmosphere, Bavarian architecture—and, of course, hearty German beer and food (think bratwurst and schnitzel) in its on-site Nussy’s Biergarten.


Riedlbauer’s New Year’s Eve program features a happy hour with half-priced drinks from 5:30 to 6:30pm; all-night hors d’oeuvres/appetizer buffet; choice of dinner (prime rib, filet of sole, or chicken marsala); party favors; champaign toast; and live music for dancing by traditional German band Die Kleine DSB from 9pm to 1am. Riedlbauer’s New Year’s Eve dinner party will take place on December 31 at Riedlbauer’s Resort in Roundtop. The cost is $85 per person. Nightly lodging at the 48-room resort’s accommodations is $155 per room.
