Raise a Glass to Coppersea's Late Cofounder and Pioneering Distiller November 9

Every fall, Coppersea Distillery in New Paltz honors the legacy of its co-founder and OG distiller Angus MacDonald by hosting a Big Angus Green Malt Party, where the public is invited to sip a nip of Coppersea's rare green malt whisky, which employs an obscure historic method that MacDonald unearthed through reading.
On Saturday October 19, from 12 to 7pm, Coppersea celebrates New York State Rye Week with the release of its Coppersea Distilling PX Sherry Cask-Finished Single Barrel Empire Rye. To further honor the roots of sherry, the release event will feature live flamenco duo Mario Rincon + Andreas Arnold.
Most weekends, visitors to the Springtown Tavern at Coppersea Distilling are more than happy to enjoy Coppersea’s fine spirits neat, savoring the unique flavor notes and mouthfeel that result from grain-to-glass, hand-crafted heritage distilling techniques. This Saturday, the farm distillery will celebrate its wares in craft cocktail form.
This Sunday, you're invited to stop by the farm, where Coppersea Distilling's chief distiller Christopher Williams is looking forward to showing you every step in Coppersea's heritage distilling process. Free guided tours will be happening every hour from noon till 5pm.
Coppersea's Bottled-in-Bond Excelsior Straight Bourbon being released on Saturday is a true locavore's delight, made from Hudson Valley grains and aged for four years in New York-crafted barrels fashioned of Adirondack oak.
