The Spring Show hosted by the AMR Artists, which opens on April 19 at Upstairs at the Commons gallery in Margaretville and remains on view through May 13, will include works by 20 participants working in different disciplines: painting, monotypes, photography, tapestry, installation, and even jewelry.
High Falls resident Tina Barry partnered with 14 female visual artists in a collaborative project that pairs Barry’s poems with visual works inspired by the poems. "The Virginia Project" will open at the Wired Gallery in High Falls on October 27, and will remain on view through November 25.
Founded by writer and editor Annie DeWitt, the inaugural Roxbury Writers Residency will take place October 12-15. The retreat will offer creatives the opportunity to indulge in three days of writing and workshops on a 27-acre property in the Catskill Mountains that is part farm, part literary salon.
