New Year's Eve at The Amsterdam

Rhinebeck eatery The Amsterdam, helmed by chef Alex Burger, has carved out a niche for itself serving excellent New American fare almost every single day of the year. New Year's Eve, and Christmas eve, for that matter, are no exception. For $95 a person, plus $45 for wine pairings, you can feast yourself on The Amsterdam's gourmet six-course prix fixe menu. Things get classy right out of the gate with oysters and caviar, followed by three appetizer courses of the lobster-and-truffle caliber.
