New Year's Eve at The AmsterdamRhinebeck eatery The Amsterdam, helmed by chef Alex Burger, has carved out a niche for itself serving excellent New American fare almost every single day of the year. New Year's Eve, and Christmas eve, for that matter, are no exception. For $95 a person, plus $45 for wine pairings, you can feast yourself on The Amsterdam's gourmet six-course prix fixe menu. Things get classy right out of the gate with oysters and caviar, followed by three appetizer courses of the lobster-and-truffle caliber. Mains include Atlantic turbot, black Angus beef, or wild mushroom risotto for the vegetarians. A lemon sorbet will cleanse your palate before you finish on a high note with an indulgent dessert and a champagne flute to toast the New Year.
A Roundhouse New Year's Eve
Executive Chef Walter Hinds at the Roundhouse Beacon will be preparing delicacies for two seatings in the elegant Roundhouse dining room. Reserve the first and get a three-course dinner for $80 per person with optional $30 wine pairing, or the second to experience all four courses for $95, with a $40 wine pairing. Start drooling over the lobster and sweet corn cassoulet, short ribs, duck breast and cavatelli, not to mention the fig and almond tart with apple cider ice cream for dessert.

What: If you'd like to combine your epic prix-fixe feast with a blast of a dance party, plan to be at Lydia's in Stone Ridge. Your three-course feast will incorporate delicacies such as potato bites filled with smoked turkey pate and pesto crusted lamb chops. There's an herb tart with creme fraiche for vegetarians, the dessert is homemade, the welcome is always warm, and the band will be smokin' hot. Dinner is $65 per person and includes a champagne toast.
