Since Ole Savannah opened in Kingston's Rondout district in 2015, it has offered a heaping helping of Southern hospitality with a distinctive Hudson Valley twist. “We’re honored that we’ve been chosen for four Chronogrammies,” says owner Dave Amato, who took inspiration for Ole Savannah from New York City restaurateur Danny Meyer’s own farm-to-table homage to Southern cuisine, Blue Smoke. “Being selected as the best among many fantastic restaurants in the Hudson Valley is a great honor,” Amato says. “The success is attributed to our incredible team that makes it happen every day.”
In addition to its expansive menu of Southern classics like fried chicken, Low Country shrimp and grits, and jambalaya, Ole Savannah also serves up an array of globally-inflected dishes such as a Miso-marinated salmon filet and pho, as well as new specials every weekend.
