Create new memories at a temporary, elusive location. Invade, conquer, and enjoy the comforts and commodities of a random stranger's home. PlaceInvaders, a pop-up dining experience is coming to a luxury barn near Woodstock. Chef Jon McCarthy and Ryan Tate of Hudson's Crimson Sparrow will prepare a five-course Japanese kaiseki-inspired meal, featuring local ingredients and seafood from Japan. The 2014 venture of Brooklynites Hagan and Katie, the exact locations of Place Invaders' events are never revealed in advance and will be emailed to attendees the day of. Guest have the option of attending a dinner on Friday, July 8 at 7pm, Saturday July 9, at 4pm, or 8:30pm, and Sunday, July 10 at 6:30pm. Brunch will be served on July 9 and 10 at 12pm. Limited overnight stays in an Airstream or a loft in the main house are available. Packages range from $90 to $225.
