20 Days in Mariupol

Winner, Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature Film. As the Russian invasion begins, an Associated Press team of Ukrainian journalists trapped in the besieged city of Mariupol struggle to continue their work documenting the war's atrocities. The only international reporters who remain in the city,  they soon capture what become some of the most defining images of the war: dying children, mass graves, and the bombing of a maternity hospital. Director Mstyslav Chernov, in his debut film, has spent nearly a decade covering international conflicts for The Associated Press, winning a Pulitzer Prize for his multi-format coverage of the war.
