Sparrowbush Farm
2409 Route 9H, Hudson
(518) 537-4401

We grow 25 vegetable varieties for our winter farm share and little bits of delicious things for summer markets too. We work to build healthy soil that can grow healthy crops. We rely on crop rotation, cover cropping, green manures, and soil amendments to correct deficiencies and build long-term fertility. We don’t use any chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Selling produce at the Hudson Farmers’ Market and the Delmar Farmers’ Market.

Threshold Farm
16 Summit Street, Philmont
(518) 672-5509

Biodynamically grown tree fruit—peaches, pears, apples—available from mid August until December or later, depending on the season. We have 15 varieties of apples, including Cox’s Orange Pippin, Macoun, and Fuji. We also grow a whole range of vegetables. Pick up at the farm house (call in advance) or call/email for other pick up locations.

Trusted Roots Farm
402 County Route 34, East Chatham
(518) 794-0236

At Trusted Roots Farm, members pick up their produce at the farm, varying from lettuce, squash, and zucchini to beets, potatoes, radishes, and more depending on the season. A portion of the share is U-pick—members will harvest these crops for themselves directly from the field.

  • Bus Stop Grill: Garrison's Mobile Restaurant and Family Business Innovation

Driving down Route 9 outside Garrison, it’s hard to miss the Bus Stop Grill—a large bright red bus-turned-restaurant parked on the side of the road. The mobile restaurant is the brainchild of local business owner Ernest Knippenberg, whose bus company Hudson Valley Charter Service has been in the family for more than 50 years. Bus Stop Grill offers both breakfast and lunch, served from 7 to 11am and 11am to 3pm respectively. The menus feature American classics––breakfast sandwiches, rolls, bagels, pastries, and muffins in the morning, with corned beef and pastrami sandwiches as the mainstay of the afternoon offerings.
