70th Anniversary of the United State Air Force

Please join the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor in commemorating and celebrating the creation of the U.S. Air Force as a separate branch of service in 1947. Find out where it all began (you may be surprised at the answer!) and how what began as an off-shoot of the Signal Corps evolved in to the Air Force we know today. A timeline of Air Force Purple Heart recipients will highlight the personal and individual sacrifices made from World War I to Afghanistan. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged.
