FRIDAY 3/29
The Water We Drink

More than 3.4 million people die annually from water contamination, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes. FRIDAY 3/29
“The Gospel of John”

Walking the dog Theater performs a modern translation of the fourth book of the New Testament—originally produced in the UK in 2002 by Adrian Locher, who co-directs this production—at the Christian Community in Hillsdale. With a minimalist set of only two chairs, a table, and some cloths, three actors play dozens of characters, including Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene.

SATURDAY 3/30
Marco Benevento

With its ethereal, psychedelic, and synesthetic sounds, Benevento's 2012 release TigerFace sounds like a musical kaleidoscope. Following the Massachusetts based electro-pop band Home Body, the experimental keyboardist brings his genre-bending blend of jazz, instrumental rock, dance-pop, and jam band to Kingston’s BSP Lounge.

MONDAY 4/1
Junot Díaz

The Pulitzer Prize-winning Dominican-American author reads from his most recent short story collection, This Is How You Lose Her, at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson. Narrated by Yunior—a character from his two previous works—the stories explore love in all its messy and beautiful incarnations.

 Reading

The comic artist brings her food-centered graphic memoir Relish: My Life in the Kitchen to Oblong Books & Music in Rhinebeck—the town where she grew up.
